I’m a beginner and/or haven’t been consistent with weights, can I do this program?Absolutely! The FITTY System would be advised for any level of fitness-conscious individual striving to push for greater physical accomplishments. The structure of the program allows for exercise regression in reps, load, tempo, range of motion and/or elimination of exercises if needed. Your trainers are always available to help with modifications. Also, within our Fitty Gritty app important tips are included with every exercise that offers modification options. However, those who consider themselves absolutely beginners to weight training should probably skip this program and see a personal trainer in-person to learn how to lift properly, as this program does not offer form feedback or allow you to send in videos for analysis. It’s a virtual program and assumes you have lifted weights before and know how your body moves in space.

What can I expect with the workouts?Four strength workouts with varying muscle isolation combinations each week. This program will focus on time under tension, shifting rep schemes and challenging the limits of muscular endurance. Although a change of muscle pairings is seen throughout, familiar exercises will continually show up and progression in weight overtime is encouraged for maximal results.

Am I able to modify the workouts?Our program is intentionally designed to challenge participants at every fitness level. Whether you're a beginner or returning to exercise after a hiatus, our workouts are adaptable to your capabilities. The program's structure allows for modifications in reps, load, tempo, range of motion, or even the elimination of certain exercises if necessary. Our trainers are readily available to assist with modifications, ensuring that everyone can safely and effectively participate. Additionally, our Fitty Gritty app provides valuable tips alongside each exercise, offering modification options to suit individual needs. With our comprehensive support system, you can confidently tailor your workouts to match your current fitness level and gradually progress at your own pace.

Will I get sore from these workouts?Whether you’ll get sore from this program depends on various factors such as your current fitness level, intensity of the workouts, and how your body responds to exercises. Soreness, known as delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), can occur especially when starting a new program or increasing intensity. It’s a natural response as your muscles adapt and grow stronger. Proper warm-up, cooldown, hydration and nutrition can help alleviate soreness. Gradually increasing intensity and allowing adequate rest between sessions can also help manage soreness while still progressing in your strength program.

Do I need access to a gym?No, you don't need access to a gym! The FITTY System is designed to be completed at home with basic equipment. You'll need dumbbells, bands, and a bench. For optimal results, we recommend having at least one lighter weight and one moderate weight dumbbell. You can find links to recommended equipment on our recommendations page.

Will this program help me lose weight?Strength training programs can aid weight loss in several ways… Building lean muscle mass, increasing your metabolism, allowing the body to burn more calories even at rest. Strength training helps your body preserve muscle mass while in a caloric deficit, ensuring that weight loss comes from fat rather than muscle. And strength training can improve insulin sensitivity, potentially reducing cravings for unhealthy foods, supporting weight loss efforts.

What happens after my initial 8-week program?After completing the initial 8-week program, you can transition seamlessly into our monthly recurring plan. With this plan, you’ll receive a new workout plan weekly, featuring both our FITTY workouts (home-based) and GRITTY workouts (home-based). Plus 1 supplemental no gear workout, for those busy days. That’s 9 unique workouts to choose from per week, ensuring you always have variety and the ability to target your specific goals. Plus, you’ll have regular check-ins with your trainers to monitor progress and provide personalized guidance. You’ll still have access to the Fitty Gritty app to log and track progress, as well as access to our supportive community for extra motivation and inspiration.
